Matter measures waste and carbon outputs using ultrasonic sensors. We combine some of the latest technology including smart bins, IoT, blockchain and Big Data to create a true waste ecosystem that brings efficiencies to all aspects of the waste chain and empowers people to collectively respond to sustainability goals.

Our integrated ecosystem encompasses three main products:

1. A consumer app that connects to our sensors and enables people to measure and improve on their waste outputs at home and at work.
2. A waste tracking platform we have developed called Capture that reads waste sensors from throughout the area (homes, parks, town centres etc) and uses this to calculate optimal waste collection routes.
3. Enterprise software that enables the management of carbon emissions for businesses and government.
